Due to unfortunate accident the tip section of my much loved Shimano Diaflash 360H is no more. Know it's a real long shot but does anyone have one? May consider complete rod if price realistic. I've tried Felindre but as expected was told "no chance mate". Also looking out on EBay, gumtree, tackle trader etc

Anyone out there able to help please???

I have that rod, and it's still my favourite stillwater roach rod after 20+ years.
I can't offer you a tip section, but I wonder how/where yours is broken.
I found the original hollow tip a little stiff and the action a bit steely, so I cut off the top 18" and fitted in a solid carbon tip. A bit reckless, but fortunately I got it all exactly right, and the tip blends in perfectly and it made a better rod; only my opinion, of course.

I just pass this on as it may be an option for you if you had a cleanish break near the tip.

Of course , it might just be a good reason to treat yourself to a new rod, but for all the fans' enthusiasm for some new models, I don't think the Diaflash series of rods and poles has been bettered for quality of materials and longevity.

Cheers, Kev

Cheers Kev, I've been looking at how to resurrect it and this gives me the inspiration to give it a go. It's broken about 30 inches down but I've nothing to lose just need to find the right blank tip. My local TS doesn't seem to carry anything like that so will look further afield or go blind online.

The series of original diaflash rods are superb. Ive seen them come up on ebay quite regularly but they bring a premium price, but if you like 'em enough then it's worth paying that bit extra for one. I've never owned the float rods but have had a waggle of some. I have had the range of specimen diaflash rods and still have a pair in 3lb test.

I remember buying it new sometime in the early nineties for around £150-200 so guess it was discounted and possibly discontinued then. I know I was still at school and had to get my mum to order it possibly from Bennetts using their cheque spread option, and I was doing loads of work to pay for it. It was far better than anything I or my mates had ever owned before. I'd gone for the heavy as i was going to use it for tench on my local gravel pits but once I put into service soon found it a little under gunned for that job so then bought some stradic specialist's the next year so it was sort of retired to catching bait for piking and catfishing. Just getting back into my general coarse fishing and have found a water with a good head of roach, rudd and crucians averaging 8oz to a 1lb with occasional larger specimens to 2lb+ plus a few tench to 3lb and this rod has been a absolute please to use, but it is no more due to an unfortunate accident.
