Come on all you members of the BS, pass on some hints and tips on fishing for barbel to all of our fellow barbel anglers on FM.

Let's have a thread free of vitriol, one-upmanship and back stabbing and have it purely about the fishing.

Great idea from Rik, gives everyone a chance to prove that they don't just come on here to stir up a controversy. A winter barbel article, and then a forum thread to follow would be very nice Tony.

I'm interested in beach-casting rigs with grippa leads specifically for Barbel fishing the Trent. Pls advise.

Good idea Rik. Hopefully the other rubbish will go away then and people can enjoy the barbel section!

I'll offer an article that has appeared in BFisher if you want it. It has loads of tips if you read it properly.

Hey Wol, remember this when trying to improve pictures of Mr Elliott -

"Impossibilities dealt with immediately, miracles take a little longer."

Bear that in mind if you want to go fishing at all this season.)

I'd like to make it quite clear that my grey hair hasn't been earned as Graham kindly suggests.

It's you bloody lot on here that has sent me grey!

Goodness. That Woody. I show him where and how and with what to catch a decent chublet after him struggling to catch anything, and all I get for my troubles is flak.

I notice his picture is cica 1987 as well.

Graham knows plenty about altering photographs, just look at how big the fish appear!!

Check the pixelation closely.

I've looked at your attached photo Dave. Can't see any changes there.

Actually on one of my photos someone, with the skills changed the background a bit as an obvious swim feature, barbed wire fence. Happy to send any to anyone who feels the need to inspect and comment though on all the rest.

If you were not joking, give me a clue to the pic and I will send to FM for an expert evaluation.

Dear Bob, stop getting ratty, grey hair comes to everyone, but Barbel don't. Thought you'd like that one, see you on the 3rd in Birmingham if you there.
