If the reel spins freely and your happy with it,it matters not a jot whether it's a youngs,or a Cortesi, all trot a float(if they work properly),all land fish,I enjoy pin fishing, but am not a collector, having four,I realise the limits of a pin and certain types of swim do not lend themselves to a pin,yes you can struggle through, when I carry my trotting bag I carry the one pin,the times i've ended up in a peg that wasn't at all fun to fish on a pin, tigger will probably think differently, but i'm just not proficient enough to manage it,good luck on your quest Rod,I would imagine any Youngs trotting reel would be perfect for you...
