This video has been produced to show something of the Domaine desIles estate and lakes and, most important, the fish that inhabit itswaters.
It is not a professional video in the sense that it has celebrityanglers fishing (although a few are featured in an unsung way) andcommentating. The video doesn’t have a presenter in any shape orform. I suppose it lets the fish speak for themselves in a way. Andthere are some real monsters on show, that’s for sure!
For those anglers who have never visited DDI, but are thinking ofgoing, the video will give them a taste of what’s on offer. For thosewho have booked and are waiting to go it will certainly whet theirappetites and make them even more impatient to drive onto the ferryand get across there. And for those of us who have been before, andactually caught some of those huge fish, it brings back someexceptionally fond memories and rekindles the excitement weexperienced when we had one of the monsters on the end of ourlines!
Most of the video is a movie photo album of the fish caught. Forthose of us who have been before it is easy to follow and we canrelate to what we see. But for those who have never been to DDI thevideo is short on commentary. It needed a presenter, or even a dubbedcommentary, that would have provided description and explanation.
Otherwise the video is well worth a viewing, if only to see thereal strain on the faces of those who are trying to hold carp up to60lbs, something that can never be portrayed by still photography. These fish are big, and this video allows you to see just how big thefish really are.
For those who are thinking of going I recommend it. For those whoare booked or been before, it’s a must!
The video is one hour in length and costs £ 15 including postage. Details on the Domaine des Iles website: Domaine des Iles
