**Real Reviews by Real Anglers**
The Method is not every angler’s cup of tea, so to speak. Although I don’t see any valid reason for condemning the tactic. It sems that some fishery owners don’t like you catching too many fish.
Like many new, innovative methods, The Method, can be devastatingly good, and remains quite good even on those waters where The Method has been used many times before.
For anyone who doesn’t know, put in its most basic form, The Method is a type of swimfeeder tactic where the groundbait is clamped round the feeder very firmly.
The bait, on a short hooklength, is then stuck into the groundbait ball. The fish then find it and attack the groundbait ball, breaking it up and in the process take the hookbait. With, on many waters, amazing results, and as a result many fisheries banned it.
So Gardner, ever innovative, came up with the Bait Bomb, a clever device that punches out groundbait in firm cylinders. The cylinder has a slot where the line goes through and the groundbait cylinder encloses either the hookbait or a conventional bomb in the moulded cavity.
Groundbait cylinders can be prepared before fishing, microwaved for a short spell, and stored in an airtight container. They can then be thrown in as ‘loose’ feed, catapulted, or sent out in a baitboat, as well as being used in conventional manner. Microwaving is also useful when using them at distance.
An excellent product that gets round yet another stupid ban on a perfectly good method. But also a very useful tool for introducing groundbait in more novel ways.
At £ 5.99 it’s not worth being without one.
