This coat from Gardner Tackle is in the now fashionable in fishing camouflage colours. But this is no ordinary coat but a top quality garment from Napier of London – The Napier Advantage Camo Coat.
The feel of the coat is enough to make you take a shine to it straight away. The saddlecloth is smooth and ‘rustle-free’. None of that annoying swish-swish sound as you walk along.
The saddlecloth feels smooth and it incorporates Du Pont Teflon for toughness and durability. It is also lightweight at less than one kilogramme.
The hood is completely removable, which is a good thing when you don’t need them. It folds up nicely and tucks away in a pocket.
It also comes with a removable, zip-in, quilted lining for that extra warmth in winter.
There are an adequate number of pockets, including two handwarmer pockets and the coat fastens with both zip and press stud. Sleeve ends are elasticated to trap in the warm and keep out the cold.
It is, as you would expect of a coat of this quality, 100% waterproof, windproof and breathable, incorporating all the very latest technologies in these departments.
The camouflage tree/leaf design is recognised as one of the best patterns available.
Perhaps a trifle short in length for some anglers but definitely one of the very best coats available.
The price of £ 235 will put off some, but for those who can afford one they’ll certainly be pleased with it.
