This year’s match is on Saturday 6th August 2005, the draw and presentation is at the Police training school at Bishopgarth Wakefield. The draw commences at 8am to 9am after 9am any reserves are then allowed to draw, so if you are on your way and due to circumstances are running late, please ring me and we will draw on your behalf.
Fishing is on the Calder and Hebble canal, this is just off the M1 junction 39 and extends to Horbury, at the draw maps are available and also help with Directions. Fishing commences at 10-30am and ends at 2-30pm.
We have two sections under 18s and under 15s on the day of the match. Winners are in each group, overall winner under 18s and 15s, with runners up in each age group, we have a special under 8 winners and this is followed by 15 section winners. All these groups win a trophy and a prize. The value of prizes depends totally on the amount of sponsorship we receive, every penny we get goes towards the trophies and prizes.
Last year we had prizes down to forth in the section this was then followed by the popular Lucky Peg Draw, sort of a raffle using the peg numbers. Major prize winner’s peg numbers are removed from this draw.
This is to give everyone a chance of winning a prize. There is no guarantee to the number or value of prizes and I do not guarantee a prize for every one who takes part.
