The League organiser and the Hon. Treasurer managed to sit together on the fancied island section – who says rank doesn’t have its perks! We will see in a while.

Put Pete Walker (Lakeview Magic) on an Island peg with a feeder in his hand and he will do well. And not to prove me wrong Pete did just that from “A3” watched by the League organiser (Phil Walters) and me (Hon Treas) for 17lb 4oz. Me and Phil BLANKED!!! Which, contrary to belief, is rare.

“B” section was taken by Chris “Bagger” Bailey (TMS TOADS) with the top weight on the day of 28lb 6oz. Chris kept his section mates awake with his usual round of banter.

Bob Noble (Gwinear Peasants) put behind his 1oz defeat at Upper Tamar Lake, with a section win of 11lb 2oz in section “C”.

L to R: Mark Bardon, Neil Hall and Bob Salford
Top Team on the day was TMS Frogs with 25 points (pictured). Second were Lakeview Magic with 23 points, closely followed by Silver Ball 21 and 4th were TMS Toads on 20 points (Chris 12, Don 8 and me Nil Point).

Individually Chris Bailey is well in front, with Silver Ball having a 5-point advantage over TMS Toads in the team competition.

Next round sees the side fish Threemilstone Langarth Pools in 2 weeks time.

Next week sees the Gwinear League back in action.

So for now keep it tidy and don’t BLANK!!!
