It’s a simple enough concept, it’s a rod band, but what makes these one of the best rod bands you can get, in my opinion, is that they work really well. The Velcro binds to the looped nylon facing and should not come apart accidentally, unlike some neoprene or brushed nylon ones you may see.
They’re extremely soft and forgiving for a start so should not cause any damage to fine rod rings on float rods. This also means that when you remove them you can even put them in your pocket if you’re out stalking and would hardly know they were there, unlike the more firmer type of rod band.
The best thing of all is – the price. Just £ 11.75 for 9 of them, that’s just £ 1.301/2 each, cheap as chips. If you’re wondering why there’s only 6 in my picture, the other three are already in use, that’s why this is a real review and not a desktop one.
You couldn’t wish for a better bargain and these bands will suit every type of angler, whether a carp man for tying rods together in a quiver or a specialist roaming the banks, out spinning for pike or simply with a float rod stalking a wily old chub. Excellent quality and value.
