Many winter sea fishing breaks are spoilt through bad weather at the last minute, but Liverpool fishing holiday company Leisure Angling appear to have found a way round it. They say that if the weather forecast is bad you don’t have to travel. You’ll get your money back or you can choose another date.
It works like this – you book the holiday in the normal way and Leisure Angling confirm the ferry travel, accommodation and charter boat and you pay the full amount. Leisure Angling will supply you with a telephone number for the boat’s skipper and if the day before travel he says the weather forecast means sailing and fishing is unlikely, you have the option to cancel the holiday and get a full refund or to choose another date.
Kilmore Quay, County Wexford
This special charter boat sea angling break starts on October 1st and runs through until the end of February and you can choose any number of nights stay and fishing days. The boat skipper is Dick Hayes and his 33ft Offshore 105 ‘Enterprise’ is kitted out with the latest electronic gear. Accommodation is bed and breakfast in ensuite rooms at Innish View House, only a short walk from the village pubs and restaurants and the marina.
It’s a no-lose situation for Leisure Angling customers with a real chance of enjoying some good winter boat fishing and the “craic” that goes hand-in-hand with Irish village pubs in Kilmore Quay.
