The close season may have long gone on most stillwaters but on the flowing venues, for now at least, June is special as the ‘glorious’ 16th marks the start of the new coarse angling season – and here at FM we still believe that is cause for celebration!
As such we are launching our first ‘Rivers Month’ during which the site will celebrate the start of the season with a host of events, features, competitions and special offers.
For starters we will be offering one lucky reader, and a friend, the opportunity to win a session on one of the most attractive, and productive, beats of river in the country and there will be river tackle and bait prizes up for grabs to boot.
To keep you further entertained in the run up to 16 June – and indeed beyond – in addition to our usual monthly mix of entertainment and news the entire FM team of river anglers from Sean Meeghan to Adrian Eves, from Kevin Perkins to Tony Gibson, from Bob Hornegold to Welchy, from Neil Maidment to Martin Salter and many, many more have produced a series of features detailing their thoughts, aspirations and comments on and for the new season.
It’s time to get back to the rivers, it’s time for chub and barbel fishing, it’s time for Rivers Month on FM!
