The Kingsmead Lake One record has been broken by Sam Bale fishing the Shady Swim.

Sam netted the fish known as the Park common at a new top weight of 32lb 6oz.

Sam fished fished a two-nighter from the Shady Point opposite the helipad and the Park Common was the only fish to pick up his Icelandic Red bait with Caviar and Cranberry.

The take coming from a spot some 45m out from the swim at 6:40pm.

The hookbait was popped up 2″ over a bed of red band, corn and boilies with a 12′ braided hooklength, 2oz. Korda in-line flat pear lead and 1m of ESP anchor tube.

Sam netted the fish on his last session on the water before returning to university.

Amwell Syndicate
Stevenage angler Paul Rutter is enjoying an excellent season on the Amwell syndicate with his last two sessions producing five fish.

The first of the two sessions saw Paul spend an uneventful night in Swim 10 before he moved into The Box swim to take four cracking commons of 19lb 2oz, 19lb, 16lb 12oz and 11lb 12oz.

Paul is pictured here with the largest of the four commons.

He then followed his success with the common carp with this fine mirror known as Lancelot.

Paul fished The Little Box swim and put the fish on the bank for the first time this season at a weight of 25lb 9oz.

Paul’s dad fished The Box during the same session and took two commons and Jaffa’s Mate at a weight of 20lb 8oz.
