Horton, Berkshire RMC water Kingsmead Lake One has produced its record common for the water at 30lb 12oz. The Park Common was netted by Sparsholt College student Sam Boland. The carp is also a personal best for Sam who fished Assassin 8 boilies.
He fished the first swim on the Boat Pool bank and cast his bait towards the lily pads along the reed line.
Kingsmead has an excellent head of double figure mirror and common carp with many now over 20lb together with the occasional thirty. Further stocking has been made for 2000 and the venue is rapidly becoming one of the best RMC Angling carp fisheries. Large tench, bream, perch and pike may also be caught.
