KORDA HYBRID LONGSHANK HOOK In the main, I’ve used the same three patterns of hooks for some time, my favourite of which is the Kamasan B175, but my only concern with these was that when you tie knotless knots with some of the stiffer mono’s, you get a very acute angle which sometimes bothered me. So I had a little look at the new(ish) Korda Longshank hooks. They are much the same proven shape as the B175’s, but with less inturn on the eye (20 degrees). They have a ‘low viz, Teflon coating’ (useful in muddy waters!) – not sure that the Teflon really helps visibility wise, but the hooks are ‘sticky sharp’ out of the packet. The eyes are also closed well – more than can be said for some other hooks out there and overall quality is excellent. Curious size though, the B175 pictured is a size 6, the Korda hook is a size 10. | ||||||
