OXLEASE LAKE

I regret to inform that as of today Wednesday 24th October Oxlease Lake will be closed to all anglers until the spring of 2008. A full statement will be released on the web site regarding this issue over the next couple of days.

HARDWICK LAKE
****Winter Ticket****

Hardwick/Smiths Winter Tickets will go on sale as from Monday the 24th Sept – The price will be £ 120 and will run from Nov-1st 2007 until March-1st 2008. Tickets can be purchased from the bailiffs on the bank or by writing to: The Fishery Manager, 7 Crow Lane, Lower End, Wavendon, Bucks, MK17 8AR. Cheques payable to Linear Fisheries Oxford please.

Please Note: During the period that the ticket runs Hardwick/Smiths Lake will be closed all day on Thursday Nov 15th and Sunday Jan 6th 2008 for Pike Matches.

HARDWICK LAKE
The pike match over the weekend went very well with a number of fish being caught along with a couple of big pke being lost. The biggest fish of the match went to Stuart Green with a cracking 23lb specimen and new PB.

The next match will be held at Manor Farm Lake on Nov 25th, anyone interested in fishing the match should contact Basil Hopkins on 01993 704880 or 07773 210590. BRASENOSE 1
Del Ackland from Aylsbury had 4 fish up to 18lb 12oz using fluro pop-ups at range.

Gary Taylor had a 20lb mirror also using bright pop-ups at distance.

Zolly Loczy had a new PB 30lb 08oz mirror.

Chris Maniford from Devon had 13 fish up to 25lb 04oz using NRG boilies and pellets.

Cliff Kemp had 17 fish using zig rigs with the biggest two being low twenties.

Fishing together Marc “The Carpfather” Walker and his side kick cousin Alan Keepenece had 11 fish between them using particles, with Marc catching the biggest at 25lb 01oz.

MANOR FARM LAKE
Andy Rollings from Colchester had “Cut Tail” at 38lb 04oz in the early hours of the morning using sweetcorn.

Rob Willingham also from Colchester had a 20lb 14oz mirror along with a 27lb 5oz common using zigs rigs.

Sparsholt student Adam Townsend has had a few small stockies along with “The Little Linear” at 29lb 12oz.

And John Bones is up to 5 fish topped by “Chris’s Pet” at 35lb 04oz.

ST JOHNS LAKE
Lee Timmings from Dudley had a stunning 27lb mirror on SBS lobworm boilies fished at 80 yards.

Jamie Macfarland from Oxon had 9 fish, including 5 twenties up to 27lb using particles and pellets.

Charlie Attwell had a new PB when he caught a 30lb common from swim one.

Bob Hughs had a new PB 36lb 10oz common using a single mussel and oyster boilie with a PVA bag of pellets.

Jon Lane from Swindon had a 25lb common whilst fishing zig rigs just under the surface.

Mark Hollaway had a new PB common in the shape of a 28lb 04oz fish.

And there has been another big common out of St. Johns weighing 38lb 02oz, i don’t have any other details but will pas them on if and when I get them.
