Six free angling coaching events have been organised at Puddledock Farm Fishery, St Mary’s Lane, Upminster, Essex by the Environment Agency and local coach Nick Watkins.
The events aim to give people the opportunity to try their hand at angling to spark a lifelong passion for the sport.
Chief coach Nick said: “If you’ve ever wanted to learn to fish but weren’t sure how to start, come along to one of our open day taster sessions and have a go at Britain’s biggest participation sport. You will be able to learn to fish in a safe, friendly environment where all the tackle and bait is provided free of charge.”
During the day, people will be able to sign up for a free 30 minute coaching session. There will be qualified coaches on hand and all the necessary tackle will be provided.
The venue has parking and toilet facilities and is an ideal environment to get children involved in an outdoor activity.
The events will run from 09.30 to 16.00 on Tuesday 26 July, Thursday 28 July, Tuesday 02 August, Thursday 04 August, Tuesday 09 August and Thursday 11 August. For further information call Nick on 07704 284103
