Unity Lake, one of three lakes on the Guy Lakes complex
Mick Hill, of Dulwich, London, has caught 23 carp in a three daysession on the water. Twenty one of the fish weighed over twentypounds and included three common carp of over 27lb, the best 28.08,probably a Unity Lake common carp record. The successful bait wasRichworth Multiplex boilies.
This is probably one of the best multiple catches of carp everreported in the UK. It is the sort of catch you would generallyexpect from a French venue.
Other carp caught recently from Gaunts and Unity.Fast growing carp, averaging 4lb, stocked into Gaunts in April 2000are now being caught at between 10 and 15lb. These were fish obtainedfrom Mark Simmonds. Guy Lakes is open for yearlymembership and there are vacancies remaining.
St Johns
Dick Debbitt netted carp of 17.08 and 21.10 – a common and amirror. Several carp to 22lb reported. Pike to 12lb on deadbait overthe weekend. Nick Ball from Swindon caught five carp from the water -23.15 common, 24.02 mirror, 24.07 mirror and two low doubles. Nickwas fishing into the wind and onto a gravel bar.

Carp reported at weekend to low twenties. Clive Turner of DidcotAngling Centre caught three carp at long range – 29.11 mirror, 15.12mirror and a 16.01 common.
Hunts Corner Lake
A bit slow but fish to 18lb reported at weekend. Big perch activewith fish between 2 & 3lb reported recently.
Rumour of a 4.09 perch from a Linearwater. More if we hear anything.
