Overview

New manufacturer of premium LED torches, Premierlight, has expanded its product range with the introduction of a high-performance camping lantern that offers supreme illumination without the concern of open flames or fumes.

Premierlight has applied the same advanced LED technology as its torches in this lantern, which offers 20 powerful, bright white LEDs in the centre that illuminate through 360 degrees and are rated for 110,000 hours, or 12 years, continuous use (an average incandescent torch bulb is rated for only 20 hours).

By turning the rubber knob between the secure-off and ‘max’ positions, the rheostat control determines the amount of light emitted.

Thanks to Premierlight’s energy efficient LED’s in this lantern, three D-Cell batteries will provide in excess 45 days (1000+ hours) continuous illumination.

To the top of the lantern is a push-button that activates six bright red LEDs, which aid natural night vision. Push the button twice and these red LEDs flash the international SOS emergency signal, a feature found in all Premierlight instruments.

The durable polycarbonate housing and rubber gripped handle make this lantern lightweight and comfortable to carry.

Certainly the best bivvy light I’ve yet seen, with a variety of white or coloured light that can be dimmed or brightened to suit whatever you’re doing.

The red light is ideal for baiting the hook without spoiling your night vision, and the white light can be dimmed for all night use while you’re enjoying a kip and waiting for a bite. Then turned up with a simple twist of the knob to give you extra light when packing away or doing something that requires better vision.
