Rig requires Pallatrax Inline Silt Stonze, available separately
Pallatrax Say The LILO system has been the result of many years of perfecting tactics and catching fish to give the angler an edge above all else. The LILO is simplicity in itself and easily explained.
The LILO System, ready for concealment
By using a Pallatrax Inline Silt Stonze, you slide the LILO sleeve into the central hole and then trim the excess to suit. Then by using the specially developed swivels and clip (42lb breaking strain), rigs can be assembled whereby the connection point is neatly hidden within the natural stone weight.
The LILO System, almost all the rubber and metal out of sight
The benefits are immediately obvious, as the name suggests, with the main line going into the Stonze and the rig coming out of the other end. In essence you are bottom ‘free lining’ with the only factors the fish are now aware of being tackle that you just cannot hide, ie, mainline, rig line, hook and bait!

FISHINGmagic VERDICT
I’ve been a fan of Stonze since they first appeared on the market. They are real stones, not coated leads, and not the gimmick that some anglers assume. When it comes to the necessity of concealing your end rig from the fish then there is nothing better. How can there be anything more acceptable to fish than a natural stone that can be found in most lakes and rivers? That’s an inarguable fact.
Now, with the LILO system the concealment becomes even greater, the swivel and sleeve are out of sight too.
An 11-pounder caught using the LILO System on a low and clear river Trent
I’ve heard it said that in coloured water and at night it doesn’t matter, but how do we know exactly what the fish can feel when they’re poking around with those sensitive barbules? Can they tell the difference between a coated lead with a metal swivel and a rubber sleeve protruding and a real stone? I don’t know, do you? Are you willing to take the chance?
My answer to that is, why take a chance when you don’t need to?
There is no doubt that Stonze make a difference in clear water in daylight. I’ve seen the difference with my own eyes. Now with the LILO system I shall be even more confident when fishing clear water.
Already I’ve caught barbel to 11lb off the upper Trent this past summer, in the low, clear water.
Would I have caught them anyway? Maybe, but I do know I fished that much more confidently knowing my end tackle was as concealed from the fish as it is possible to conceal it. And confidence has a lot to answer for.
