WELL WORTH WAYTING FOR
It is Frimley Pit 4 that is famous for its big bream but NeilWayte turned up a surprise slab of 11lb 4oz when he visited Pit 3recently.
The bream was caught on a Carp Company Icelandic Red cranberry andcream boilie fished in a Kryston PVA bag was filled with 3mm 5mmtrout pellets along with carp company 12mm ball pellets.
The bag was cast to the end of the bar that runs through pit 3 andNeil watched as the bream moved towards the bait along the bottom ofthe bar. The bubbles got closer and closer and then the bobbin pulledup tight and the fish just managed to take some line from the bait-runner.
Neil said, “The capture was pleasing because I’d blanked breamfishing on Frimley Pit 4 the previous Saturday. All I caught thenwas what must be the smallest common carp in the lake at 10lb.It will be interesting to see just how big the Pit 3 bream do go whenI have a go for them later.”

SHEPPERTON STUNNER
Family committments mean that Andy Dixon has little time forangling but he did not need long to find fish on RMC Angling’sShepperton venue when he spent three sessions there earlier thisweek.
On his first visit 27 bream from 3 to 4lb took his float fishedartificial corn and on the second trip similar tactics bagged nofewer than 40 bream of the same stamp in a four hour session snatchedbefore having to collect the children from school.

Small Group Of Commons
Andy’s third visit to the venue saw him adopt a stalking approachand he found a small group of common carp to mid-double figuresholding up around some snags. A big piece of bread was squeezedaround the shank of a size 4 Super Specialist hook but as Andystarted to lower it in front of the fish he noticed a much largermirror at the back of the group.
Checking the cast Andy instead targeted the big mirror whichengulfed his bread, spat it out, then took it in again…Andy struckand after a short fight the result was the marvellous looking mirrorabove which weighed in at 27lb 12oz. Truly a Shepperton stunner.
