S.A.F.E. would like to thank all the participants of the 24 hour fish-in which was held on the 6th and 7th October at Lady Corner Pool, Parkhall, Stoke on Trent.
The event was organised by Paul Wiltshaw of Potteries A.S. and S.A.F.E. to raise much needed funds for Lachlan Matthews, aged 3, who has been diagnosed as having a medull blastoma, malignant brain tumour. The event was a great success and the 10 participants managed to raise £ 1500.00 through sponsorship.
This is the second sponsored event by S.A.F.E. in the last 3 months raising in total £ 2800.00.
Again a BIG thank you to all who participated and those who sponsored.
At the moment there is some negativity surrounding angling but no-one is aware of the valuable fundraising done throughout the Country via angling.
Perhaps we need to start a record of how much is raised via angling and by whom.
