FishingMagic has always been very proud of the quality of angling writing on the site and in recent months contributions from site members have been supplemented by features from some of the leading anglers in the UK across a wide range of disciplines to create what we believe to be the best team of angling writers on the web. We are now looking to enhance our team of writers even further and to encourage contributions we are launching a monthly competition, sponsored by Chapel Baits.

The competition, which will run from November 2011 to May 2012 inclusive, is open to anyone, irrespective of whether or not they have had features published on FishingMagic before; all we ask is that entrants are not regular writing contributors to the national angling media.

Features may be on any angling topic, fiction or non-fiction, humorous or serious, technical or story-based and on any angling discipline: coarse, sea or game.

Submissions should ideally be from 1,000 to 2,500 words in length and supplied as a Word document accompanied by four to eight JPG images to illustrate the words. It is hoped that grammar, spelling and punctuation will be of a reasonable standard but all will be corrected, if required, prior to publication on the site.

There is no limit to the number of features which entrants may submit per month and all features deemed by the FishingMagic Editor to be of an appropriate standard will be published in full.

At the end of each month FishingMagic readers will be invited to vote and comment on all of the entries and a monthly winner will be selected by the FishingMagic Editor, whose decision is final.

Each monthly winner will receive a bait pack worth £46 from Chapel Baits which will include: soft hookbaits, groundbait, dumbells and glugs from their extensive range which may be viewed HERE.

At the end of the competition all monthly winners will go into a final judging and the overall winner will win a 12 month sponsorship by Chapel Baits (Full terms and conditions to be advised separately).

November submissions are invited now and should be sent via e-mail to: editor@fishingmagic.com
