Is it a rucksack, or is it a carryall?
It’s both really, for this Ruck Carry-Sack from Shimano from ‘The Bug’ range is in typical carryall style and size, with the usual grab handle, but is also provided with the typical rucksack shoulder harness with the padded straps adjustable and with several chest strap position options.
At 55 litres it is the ideal size for short sessions or as a stalking bag. Great for the game angler too, who wants to carry that little extra when flyfishing.
The large flap folds over the zipped main compartment for additional rain protection and is closed with quick-release adjustable clips. This same flap has a pocket to hold a standard tackle box.
The two outer pockets have double zips with stylish ‘Shimano Engineering’ pullers and the base incorporates four anti-scuff footpads.
A good-looking piece of kit from Shimano that is well designed and well made, which should fill that gap for those anglers who want a carryall but wish to carry it in the traditional rucksack manner.
