Shimano Technium Specialist and Technium Specialist Quiver Rods
I bought these two rods from the Shimano Technium family to upgrade my quiver/feeder fishing rods and give me a complete coverage for all the scenarios I might possibly have to come up with when feeder fishing and straight legering.
The Technium Specialist Quiver is the lighter of the two and is designed for bomb work and light feeder fishing and was the first of the two Technium models I purchased to replace an ageing Shakespeare version.
When I tried it in the shop I was impressed with a number of aspects of the rod. The overall look of the rod was nice as with an 11ft jet-black blank, silver graphics and white tipped quivers it looked the business. It came supplied with it’s own special protective rod tube and the quivers sensibly stowed in a protective tube with it’s own pocket on the cloth rod bag. The softness of the blank was obvious and it seemed ideal for stillwater and light river work when targeting species such as roach and chub.
