Fishingmagic spoke to Coventry big fish specialist Tony Miles last night and he said that it had been a slow start to the season in his part of the world.
Tony said, ‘Adams’ Mill has been slow because it hasn’t been fished as much as usual, due to a herd of bullocks and a huge bull residing in the field. Anglers are not too keen to take their chances with the beast. And there’s very little been caught from anywhere on the Great Ouse as far as I know.
He continued, ‘My own fishing has been slow too. I’ve had the odd tench to just over 6lb but nothing much else. And I haven’t heard of anything special being caught from anywhere really.’
