Rick Humphreys of Fishsiam.com has emailed us some his latest catch reports and photos. The email reads:
Hello Geoff,
I hope that you are well.
I have attached pictures of a few of our latest catches.
The Giant Freshwater Stingray was caught a few months ago by a karate expert who filmed a show with TBS Network in Japan. I have only been given permission to use the pictures now that the show has just been aired in Japan.
The GFS was caught from the Maeklong River and was estimated to weigh 190-200kgs. It was caught on a custom made Okuma stand up rod we are currently testing coupled with an Okuma multiplier with large Owner circle hooks.
The Giant Siamese Carp were caught by twin brothers Jamie and Dan from the UK. The brothers caught 6 different fish in a few days of angling to 40kg’s.
I have also included a picture of my friend Brendan Osullivan who caught a monster sturgeon in BC Canada of 8ft plus estimated 250-300kg’s.
Brendan caught fish on each day of his trip with my friends outfitters ‘sturgeon slayers’ with other fish to 7ft.
Last but not least whilst in the UK I have ben doing a spot of fishing with this ancient looking mirror of 24lb 3oz caught from a private surrey venue. –
