Fish Legal and members of the Sustainable Inshore Fisheries Trust met last week with Cabinet Secretary Richard Lochhead and Marine Scotland Science in advance of the publication of a new scientific report on the Firth of Clyde, Britain’s largest inland sea, which is expected to clearly show the highly degraded state of the fishery.
It is anticipated that the report will trigger vigorous discussions on what might be a ‘new vision’ for the Clyde. Fish Legal will be working hard through the Sustainable Inshore Fisheries Trust to ensure that the interests of angling in general and particularly recreational sea angling play a major role in that ‘new vision’.
