The Crucian Carp Pole RigDot the bristle of the float as far down as possible.Crucian carp are very shy biters and any undue resistance or too much bristle showing will impair bite detection. A small bait, which can be anything from sweetcorn, chopped worm, pellet or maggot, is fished just touching bottom. Alterations in depth can make all the difference. A bait fished 1/2 inch over depth may be better than one being fished by the same amount off the deck. If bites are not forthcoming but fish are present your presentation is wrong. | ||
