Organised by the Broads Angling Strategy Group- Pike Sub Committee, to address the declining pike fishing throughout the broads and the on-going problem of dredging, prymnesium, otters, saline incursion, bad angling practice and the decimation and poor recruitment of pike stocks.
On the 22nd August at Sewell Park College, Norwich, between 10 am and 4 pm, we will be holding the first BROADLAND PIKE CONFERENCE.
Speakers will include John Watson, Stephen Harper, Martyn Page. There will be open discussions and a forum on the problems we are experiencing in Broadland Piking and this is your chance to contribute. We need your input and knowledge to improve Broadland piking and to return it to the mecca of UK piking that it has been in the past.
Throughout the day, there will be demonstrations on trace-making, rig set-ups and bite indication, plus displays of typical boat set-ups as used in broadland. There will also be stands selling all types of pike tackle, boats and equipment.
Whether a novice piker or expert, there will be something to interest pikers of all abilities, so if you care, be there.
