HARDWICK LAKE
Darlow Trout Lake which is adjacent to Linear’s Hardwick Lake held a pike fish-in for its members only with the object of removing any large pike caught. The E.A. had given their consent for any pike that were caught to be placed in Hardwick Lake. Fish of 24lb, 22lb and 17.06 have so far been transferred and there will be another fish-in held on Darlow shortly. Unfortunately Darlow are only allowing their members to take part.
HUNTS CORNER LAKE
Total Carp Magazine Editor, Mark Coulson is on the water to do a feature with Mark Law for the mag’s Carp Diary. Mark Law has caught a common of 28lb and a linear mirror of 20.01 and Mark Coulson has caught a mirror of 23.10. Both are fishing with Mainline Activ Pineapple at 25yards range over free offerings.
UNITY LAKE
Ivor Peachey caught 11 carp during a 48 hour session on the water. The biggest fish was a mirror of 29.08 and the catch included a 26lb common and a 21.02 mirror – the other eight fish were all doubles. Ivor fished with Mainline Active Pineapple over a spodded area at 80 yards range. Mick Perry who had given Ivor the bait to try out caught four doubles to 16.08.
OXLEASE LAKE
Mark Nicholls from Harrow College fished 10ml Richworth Tuti-Fruti Boilies along with PVA bags containing pellets at 55 yards range to catch mirrors of 29.04, 26.04 and seven doubles.
Jamie Diekielniak from High Wycombe caught four mirrors to 24.12 when he fished pineapple pop-ups at 50 yards range.
Fishing on the back of the wind a Mr W Hunt from Bristol caught mirrors of 30lb, 27.12, 27.08 and 15lb. He fished pineapple pop-ups and pellets at 40 yards range.
Reading’s Scott Henderson fished at 70 yards range to catch three mirrors of 21lb 15.01 & 210.02. Scott fished with single Activ 8 Boilies.
Fishing particles at 50 yards Barry Simmonds, from Burgess Hill caught eight carp to 19.07.
Mike Daley from Bedfordshire fished pineapple pop-ups with the stick rig at 50 yards to catch two mirrors of 23lb and 15.08.
