On his first fishing visit to the site, Charlie Kapusta ofCoventry caught two mirrors of 32 & 14 pounds on assassin-8boilies, and from the same water Bedford’s Kevin Webb caught a31.01.
ST. JOHNS LAKE
Chris Blunt from Birmingham and his friend, Jamie Godson, targetedthe catfish and on their first attempt, fishing popped up lobworms,Chris caught one of the lake’s big cats at 40lb 1oz and Jamie caughtone of 14.08.
Tim Fromont a St. Johns regular and his fishing mate Cliff Kenthad 33 runs between them landing 25 carp. Tim’s share of the catchincluded five twenties to 24lb and Cliff had three over that weightwhich included a 29.04 mirror and a 28lb-plus common.
Michael Neat’s trip down from the West Midlands was rewarded with a21.14 mirror off the top and a 16.10 that fell to a bottom-fishedtiger nut.
MANOR FARM
The water has produced carp to 26.04 this week all fish caughtwere reported to have been taken on bottom baits.
HARDWICK LAKE/SMITHS POOL
Only one or two visitors last week but a few fish caught to thelow twenties.
Dave Elliott caught a 2.04 roach which managed to pick up hisboilie.
