UPDATE, THURSDAY, 2ndAUGUST
ST. JOHNS
Fourteen year old Chris Hunter from Bicester got more than hebargained for when he hooked into one of the waters big cats. Thefish, which was longer than Chris, weighed 39lb and had picked up aboilie intended for the carp. Sixteen year old Adrian Maltlock whowas fishing with Chris did find the carp and caught five of them from14lb to 23.08.
HUNTS CORNER LAKE
Andrew Loaring from Stoke on Trent has caught a 20.04 mirror on apop-up boilie and Birmingham’s Michael Allbutt also found the mirrorsobliging with two at 16lb and 24.06. His mate Lee Finn, also fromBirmingham, caught a 19.01 mirror.

MANOR FARM LAKE
Carp to 23lb reported

Tench to 6.08 and plenty of rudd, roach and small carp tomaggot.
HARDWICK LAKE/SMITHS POOL
Those Birmingham boys are also at it on Smiths Pool with DaveBratby catching six carp which included two twenties at 20.04 &26.08, both mirrors. The other four fish were all upper doubles -three mirrors and a common.

GUY LAKES
Martin Clarke from Luton not only caught a 26lb mirror fromYeomans but then popped next door to Unity and caught a 23.02 ghostcarp and a 14lb mirror off the top.
MANOR FARM LAKE
Chris Ball, straw hat and all, paid a short visit to the water andsneaked out a 20.08 mirror and a 21lb common – off the top ofcourse!
Chris Selby was also there to take a 23.12 mirror in the sameway.
ST. JOHNS LAKE
Dave Wintour from Glousester has taken a new record carp from thewater. Fishing popped up sweetcorn at 20 yards he caught a 34.10mirror.
Hull’s, Andy Peacock fished squid & octopus boilies on thebottom to capture mirrors of 27.02 & 15.04.
Michael Dover from Edmonton, London made his first trip to thewater and was rewarded with a super mirror carp of 29.02. Bait wasRichworth Multiplex.
Fourteen year old Duncan Emmett is also enjoying his first longstay at the lake and so far has notched up a 28.10 fully scaledmirror, along with mirrors of 25.02, 21.08, 20.02 and 16.04 + acommon of 15.09. Duncan is fishing Formular One boilies over troutpellets – nice one Duncan keep them in front of you!
HARDWICK LAKE
Dave Geary from Leicester celebrated his first visit to the waterwith mirror carp of 30.01, 23.11 16.06 and a common of 24.11. Davetook notice of Roy the bailiff and cast to the 70 yard area hesuggested to take this super catch on boilies fished over troutpellets.
HUNTS CORNER LAKE
Carp to 27.02 have been reported. Fish very active – deserves avisit.
HUNTS CORNER POND
Plenty of small carp action on light tackle. The twelve peg matchlast Sunday was won with 68lb.
THIS LITTLE WATER WILL BE CLOSED ON SUNDAY 5th AUGUST FOR AMATCH. IT WILL NOT EFFECT THE FISHING ON HUNTS CORNER LAKE.
THE FLOAT LAKE
Water being neglected but for the few visitors this week the visitwas worthwhile – tench to over 6lb reported.
