ST JOHNS LAKE
The cold North East wind and morning frosts made the going tough until Wednesday when fish started to feed again.
Thomas Potts and his pal, Jamie Thomas found the fish on the Road Bank. Thomas caught a nice 21lb common (a P.B.) and Jamie caught a mirror of 17.13 and a common of 14.14. All three fish were caught on maize Other fish to twenty plus were caught from both the Point and the Long Bank. Korda’s Danny Fairbrass was there to take advantage of the feeding activity and caught two twenties to 25.12. Danny was using Funnel Web PVA bags for his loose offerings and maize on the hook.
Bedfordshire’s Cliff Kemp was back in action on the water – in just a 24 hour session Cliff caught 10 fish which included a linear scaled mirror of 30lb, a common of 29lb, mirrors of 26, 25, 22, 21 and 20 + three doubles. No details of his bait or methods.

HARDWICK LAKE
Karl Crawford has caught a fully scaled mirror of 33.12.
News has just come in of a 3.11 roach caught by a Mr McManus from Leicester. We hope to report more details of this catch later.
GAUNTS LAKE
A number of carp to over 29lb have been reported.
UNITY LAKE
Double figure carp and tench caught. The tench are very active.
YEOMANS LAKE
Nick ball has found the fish and we hear that he has caught several carp including a 29lb common, a mirror of 26.12, a linear mirror of 22lb and another common of 20.12.
Ivor Peachy has caught a 25lb two tone mirror.
