Paul Wakeman from Cardiff fished Richworth Tuti Fruti boilies over pellets to catch a 32lb mirror.
Thomas Potts from Wales spodded maggots to catch mirror carp of 21.14, 23.08 & 19.14.
On his first visit to St. Johns, Les Bush of Weymouth stalked and caught a 26.04 mirror from the margins using good old bread paste.
Peperami fished on the bottom caught a PB common carp of 31.01 for David Bolton of Middlesex. It was David’s first visit to the water.
GAUNTS LAKE
Mike Wilmot’s Shellfish B5 caught a PB 31.07 mirror and two small doubles for London’s Nick Collins.
Father and son team Eric and Dave Barnes spodded Bait Company particles and used the same for hook baits to catch a PB 33.08 mirror for Dave junior and two mirrors of 31lb and 21.04 for Eric senior.
Danny Aplin also on particles caught a mirror carp of 30.02 and Aidan Sharpe followed his recent success on the water with a splendid mirror of 37.08.
Bailiff Roy Parsons informs us that there have been eight different thirties caught from the water in the last few days.
Steve Cliff from Houghton Regis caught mirrors of 27.00, 28.04 and 29.12.
HUNTS CORNER LAKE
Boilies fished in the margins rewarded Ross Taylor from Kent with a 25lb mirror and two smaller carp. Lake was closed on Wednesday for a carp match.
YEOMANS LAKE
Birmingham’s Paul Wright fished particle hook baits and broken boilies in PVA bags to catch a mirror carp of 27.08
Sid Holmes from Oxford cast his particle bait to rolling fish to catch a mirror of 27.12.
HARDWICK LAKE
Dave Bratby fished particles to catch mirrors of 28.01 and 26.04 plus some smaller carp.
Linear regular, Stefan Bal from Haines near Bedford, stalked a 20.02 common in the margins – a NRG boilie was the bait.
Lancaster’s Nick Smith paid a successful first-time visit to the water to catch a PB mirror on particles. The fish weighed 29.07.
MANOR FARM LAKE
Prior to the carp spawning, Swindons, Kevin Leech, fished the margins with particles to catch ‘Cut tail’ at 39.14 and two other mirrors of 23.12 and 11.00.
Richard Stallard & Nick Bassett both from Swindon paid their first visit to the water yesterday. Richard caught the ‘Birthmark Mirror’, a PB at 34.01, plus three other carp. Nick caught seven carp including mirrors of 25lb and 18.04. Both anglers were using Richworth Bioplex Boilies.
GENERAL
The carp spawned on all the day ticket waters last Sunday and Monday. Until yesterday sport has been slow!
