ST JOHNS LAKE
Stuart Little from Birmingham has caught carp of 21.04, 19.08, 17.02 & 16.00. Three of the fish were mirrors and the fourth a common – all were caught on tiger Nuts.
Andrew Jones caught five carp – three mirrors of 20.02, 19.07 and 16.02 plus two commons of 18lb and 15.04. Andrew who is from Bristol caught thee of the fish on sweetcorn and two on boilies.
Hearing that the shallows had been producing some good fish, John Scott from Essex moved into the area and was rewarded with three common carp of 23lb, 19.04 and 23lb, plus five mirrors of 25lb, 18lb, 18.08, 26lb and 26.14. All the fish were caught on boilies. He finished his session in a big way the next day with a 35.02 fully scaled mirror. We do believe that there were at least two other fish caught besides this one – to end a fabulous visit.
Particle hook baits fished over a spodded area produced two commons of 20.08 and 16lb plus a mirror of 12lb for Southampton’s Rob Wilton. Dean Kenny from Dagenham also fished particles to catch a mirror of 22.01 – his mate Bob fished with a Frank Warwick pop-up to catch a 16.08.
HARDWICK LAKE
Andy Jones from Stoke on Trent fished the margins using Mainline NRG Boilies and Response Pellets in PVA bags to catch a PB mirror of 33.02. Also featured in his catch were a mirror of 27.12 and a common of 23.10.
GAUNTS LAKE
Jimmie Five Bellies is spending a few days on the water and so far has landed seven carp. There were three twenties in the catch, the best of which weighed 28lb. Jimmie reports that all seven fish were in excellent condition and put up a good account for themselves.
Ronnie Buss’s son Andy caught a 23.10 mirror from the water yesterday. Over the week end a number of carp were reported caught.
MANOR FARM LAKE
Just as John Hyde from Sunderland was about to pack up after a blank session on the water one of his rods produced a stunning mirror of 32.04. The fish was caught on a Mainline Milk-Toffee boilie.
Clint Walker galloped in from Wales to catch a 21lb mirror on Richworth Multiplex.
Dave Rothery from Devon found himself amongst the Manor carp when he caught mirrors of 28lb and 27.08, a fully scaled mirror of 17lb, plus five other doubles. Dave fished Premier Boilies over spodded particles.
Ashley Hughes from Stoke on Trent also used the spod with NRG hookbaits to catch a Mirror of 25lb and a 18.10 Common.
UNITY LAKE
Mickey Hills used Richworth Bio-Plex to tempt a mirror of 23.08.
