Len Gurd reports with news about Oxford’s Linear Fisheries – ‘the Pretty One’ comes out at 32.02.ST JOHNS
Reported Wednesday: Gary Hopkins from East Leigh, Southampton has caught eight carp off the surface. The catch included three twenties the best of which were a mirror of 26.08 and a common of 26.06.
Friday: Craig Redman from Andover has caught a PB common of 20.12. Craig fished boilies at two rod lengths out.
HARDWICK LAKE
Reported Wednesday: Jason Roland fishing with Richworth Multiplex has caught a mirror of 18.06.
Reported today: After heavily spodding particles at 65 yards, Simon Field from Walton on the Marsh caught a 33.04 mirror. Fishing a similar style but much closer in Neil Gould also from Walton on the Marsh caught a 28.08 mirror.

Dougie Franklin fished a single Richworth Multi-Plex boilie to catch a mirror of 28.04.
UNITY LAKE
Paul Leigh fished particles over pellets to catch a new thirty for the water. The carp, a common weighed in at 31.03.
John Howard from Redditch fished Tails Up Provit Liver over Red Band seed mix to catch ‘the Pretty One’ at 32.02.
GAUNTS LAKE
Jimmy Evans has caught a 33.04 mirror shortly after arriving last night. Jimmy fished Richworth Multiplex boilies with PVA bags & pellets.
OXLEASE LAKE
Ian Eccles added a 25.08 mirror to the catch we reported earlier this week.
Neil Carey from Scotland fished particles over pellet and hemp to catch mirrors of 19lb, 18.08, 16.02, 12lb and a number of smaller mirrors. The small mirrors caught by Neil were from the batch of fast growers introduced to the water earlier this year. In the last two days a further 271 fast growing carp between seven and ten pounds have been introduced from the Linear stock ponds.
There will be a charity carp fishing event held on the water on Saturday & Sunday the 14th & 15th June. This event will only use one bank and the rest of the lake will still be open to day ticket anglers.
MANOR FARM LAKE
Reported earlier this week: Mark Howen, a Roofer from Leicestershire, caught ‘The Long Nose Mirror’ at 31.04. This is a PB for Mark who heavily spodded pellets at 50 yards and used Terry Hearn, The Source boilies. He also caught a 17lb common.
Reported today: Customer Services Manager, Michael Law also from Leicestershire and fishing a similar style and the same baits as Mark Howen has caught the ‘Random Mirror’ at 30.08. This is a PB for Michael who also caught two other mirrors of 25.04 & 17.04 + a common of 20.08.
