ST JOHNS
Fishing at 25 yards with particles over an heavily spodded area, Ben Phelps, from Didcot, has caught mirrors of 24.08, 17.06, 16.10, commons of 22.02, 21.08, 13.02 & 13lb.
On their first visit to the water father and son team Alvin and John Miller have found the fish. So far Alvin has caught a 16.06 mirror and son John has caught mirrors of 19.04 and 17.08. Both are fishing boilies at 25 yards.
Lee Buchan from Stockport is fishing boilies in the margins and so far has caught mirrors of 25lb, 24.08 and 16lb
Kettering’s, Adam Wade is fishing boilies over a spodded mix at 70 yards and has caught a common of 26.08 and a mirror of 25lb. His mate, Craig Chambers from Rothwell who is fishing a similar style but at 30 yards has caught a common of 21lb, a mirror of 28.08 and two doubles.
The Linear bailiffs are holding a fishing get-together on the point and so far Kevin Warner has caught mirrors of 20.08 and 20.03. He is fishing particles over an heavily spodded area.
HARDWICK LAKE
Matthew Tarry from Oxford caught a PB mirror by fishing the margins with particles. The fish weighed 24.08 and he also caught another of 17.02.
Mike Law from Leicester has caught two lovely linear mirrors of 28lb and 22.08. Mike is using Terry Hearne The Source boilies at 60 yards range and has also caught a 23lb and a 17.04 common. With him is Dave Geary, also from Leicester, who is fishing the same tactics and has caught mirrors of 20.02 and 18.08 along with a common of 17.15.
Frank Warwick has just arrived on the water to do an Angling Times feature and so far he has caught two doubles.
A new Lake record and Personal best for Sean Gray from Wickford in Essex.
Having seen a good carp roll 30′ from the bank Sean cast his Kent Particle Boilie to it and within ten minutes the bait was picked up by a mirror weighing 37.12. This is the same fish featured in this years brochure on page 6 and which was caught by Chris Blunt at 33.08. Well done Sean.
GAUNTS LAKE
Fishing particles over mixed spod at 25 yards, Mick Stebbings caught mirrors of 20.12 and 31.04.
MANOR FARM LAKE
Bryan Jarrett from Hinders of Swindon has caught four doubles to 18.06.
Dan Patrick from Worcester fised the margins with 10ml boilies to catch mirrors of 24.07, 25.09 and three doubles.
OXLEASE LAKE
Paul Bowers from Manchester on his first viit to the water has caught mirrors of 18lb and 21.08. Paul is fishing with David Shuttleworth, also from Manchester, who has caught mirrors of 19.08 and 16.04 plus five smaller carp. Both are fishing boilies over heavily spodded pellet.
Chris Blunt fishing overnight with Richworth Multi-Plex over pellets has caught 11 mirrors to 17.08.
On his first visit to the water, Mike Hithcock from North Yorkshire fished Active8 boilies over particles in the margins to catch mirrors of 20lb, 26.01, a common of 22.01 and five smaller carp.
Fishing in the margins with boilies Scott Burgess, from Oxford, has caught five mirrors with the two best weighing 24.08 and 18lb.
HUNTS CORNER LAKE
It is not easy to keep pace with Stefan Bal when he makes his weekly one day visits to the fishery, but you can be sure that when you do you will find out that he has caught a string of fish from the waters he visits. His latest a 27.03 common caught from Hunts was stalked from the margins on an Heathrow Bait Services Pineapple pop-up. There was also a number of other twenties caught on the same bait and using simalar methods over the last two weeks. They might call him ‘Jurassic Stef’ because of his ancient tackle but he consistantly catches fish where others fail.
