Michael Heavan from Cardiff fished at 20 yards with particle hook baits and small PVA bags filled with pellets to catch a mirror of 21.10. Michael had just come off of Oxlease where fishing the same method at 60 yards he had caught a 20.12 mirror.
HARDWICK LAKE
Jim Clavin from Cowley Oxford fished maggot feeder at 20 yards to catch six roach between 1.10, 3.01 and 3.05. Plus a 16lb pike on his maggot feeder set up.
Neil Harvey, who caught the first 40lb carp from Hardwick earlier this year, was fishing on Manor Farm Lake but moved over to Hardwick because of the Pike Match that was being held there. Within a couple of hours of being on the water and casting out single hook baits Neil had landed a common carp of 35.11. Well done Neil!
UNITY LAKE
195 FAST GROWING CARP TO 17lb WERE INTRODUCED INTO THE LAKE LAST WEEK. ALL THE FISH WERE MIRRORS AND ARE EXPECTED TO GROW WELL IN THE WATER.
OXLEASE LAKE
Darren Cornish from the Acorn Angling Centre at Didcot, fished single Yateley Angling Centre, 22ml Squirrel Boilies at 60 yards to catch a mirror of 26.05.
Oxford’s Jeremy Rudman fished particles at 25 yards to catch seven carp to 17lb.
Bailiff, Mac Mcarthy caught four carp to 22lb.
LAST WEEK, 521 FAST GROWING CARP BETWEEN 5lb AND 8lb WERE INTRODUCED TO THE WATER. These fish which are less than two years old are expected to do well in the lake.
