We are a friendly league with a club-type atmosphere runningmatches aimed primarily at local anglers. We have just finished awell supported winter league with 12 teams of 3 fishing a series of 8 matches on 8 very different venues. Now it’s time to look to thesummer (if it ever stops raining!) and start the individualleague.

This will be fished over 14 matches with the best 10 scores tocount to allow anglers to miss a few matches for holidays etc. andstill compete. League points are awarded at each match with10 pointsfor 1st, 9 for 2nd, etc, down to 1 point for any angler whoweighs-in.

Each match is an open in it’s own right with pay-outs on the dayso if you do not wish to compete in the league you can still comealong to the occasional match. For those who do, however, there is aproportion of the entry money retained for a final pay-out to theleague winners (Usually the top 4) and also a trophy. In addition,there is a Golden/Lucky peg draw at the end of each match. A winnerfrom the golden peg will scoop the accumulated pool. Once the poolreaches £ 50, the angler on the golden peg will receive £ 10if he does not win.

All the matches are fished to NFA rules and will also be subjectto any fishery rules. Entry fees are £ 11 or £ 12 all-independent upon ticket prices. Draws take place at 09:00 and matchesare 5 hours duration.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, see the list of dates andvenues below (These are all Sundays). I would be very pleased to seeyou. Obviously, it makes life easier for me if anglers book inadvance so I know how many are likely to be coming but this is notabsolutely necessary. If you turn up on the day and there are placesavailable you will be able to fish but priority will always be givento anyone who has booked in.
