For photographic purposes I have used a large hook and colouredline.
First, take a length of line and form an overhand loop in one end.This will form the loop for the hairstop.
Pass the line through the eye of the hook from the back to thefront and leave enough line so that the base of the hair loop iswhere you would want the bottom of your bait to be (pic 1).

Next, start to tightly wrap the line back down the shank of thehook trapping the hair between the coils and the hook shank.
At this point you should wrap the line down until it is oppositethe point of the hook, I then lift the hair and continue a couple ofwraps around the shank underneath the hair. (pic 2) This makes thehair stand proud of the hook shank.
Now pass the line back through the eye of the hook, again from theback to the front, keeping everything under tension and pull tight(pic 3).
This is the completed rig and forms a natural line-alignerpresentation (pic 4).
