Hello everyone,
Probably like a lot of the membership, I like to think that when the chance arrives to upgrade to a so called " quality named rod" I will be able to make a wise choice.Famous last words.Anyway, I have been using a Shakespeare mach3 xt 13 ft float rod for a while now, and my eye has started to wander in the direction of the Drennan. As I currently fish smallish ponds (ie not been on a river for some time) perhaps this rods action would be totally unsuitable for my intended purpose. The ponds have a good selection of fish , and sizes, and to date, the Shakespeare has aquitted itself very well.Perhaps another case of wishful thinking for no really decernable benefit? Any ( printable) advice would be welcome on the merits of the Drennan rod and it's merits from those who use one. Cheers mike.
