On 8th July Fourteen year old Nathan Spires drowned in a lake just a short distance from his home in Dines Green, Worcester.
Worcestershire Coroner Victor Round told the hearing: “It is thought he may have gone into the water to retrieve a fishing float and got into some sort of difficulty.”
The teenager’s friends went into the water to help him, but he had disappeared from view. His body was retrieved from the water later and he was pronounced dead from drowning at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
