The TDFC Open Day event starts at 08:00 on Saturday 17 August and runs until late – midnight if required! The event is based at the main St. Patrick’s Stream car park in Loddon Drive, Twyford, Berkshire, RG10 8HL
Anyone coming along can fish Upper St. Pat’s, Lower St. Pat’s, the Lower River Loddon or the TDFC section of the Thames totally free of charge (although an EA rod licence is required); if you don’t want to fish then you are more than welcome to just wander around and chat, and there will be a number of knowledgeable local anglers on hand to show the venues, give tips, recommend swims, etc.
The club will be offering burgers, bacon rolls and soft drinks for sale on the day with all proceeds going to a local children’s charity and Keith Speer and Dave Currall will be holding a number of stick float clinics, focussed on catching barbel on the float.
Further details are available from the TDFC website.
