Woodshaw Reservoir is on form with tench and crucians the maintarget fish. Local angler Alan Webster in a brief two-hour sessionhad 18 crucians to 2-8-0, 2 tench, and small roach. Method waspole-fished corn and tiny cubes of meat, roach came during a briefswitch to maggot. On Monday at the start of our new local initiativeto teach young anglers many lost both tench and crucians but landedplenty of roach and perch to 10ozs.
Luke Jones in a four hour session at Ackers Pit on Friday hadeight carp, the best a grass carp of 9lbs using his own mix oftandoori boilies. Monday saw him change to the opposite side to landnine carp. Plenty of roach and bream sport to maggot or paste.
