The show – organised by the same people who brought you Go Fishing – is now in it’s third year, and organisers are confident that they’ve got a fine cocktail of attractions. Tacklefest features, as you’d expect, a big fishing tackle sale with lots of bargains, as well as family entertainment and the Angling Times’ Team Championships final. Matt Hayes will return this year to give demonstrations and will be available for questions from keen anglers who require tips and advice. On Saturday the PAA will be available for free coaching, offering a chance to introduce youngsters to the sport. There’ll also be a new attraction of a fishing simulator where you can try your hand at hooking a shark.
Tacklefest 2003 is on on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July at the Nene Embankment in Peterborough, next to the Key Theatre and 5 minutes walk from Queensgate Shopping Centre.
The show hours are 9:30 am – 5.00 pm, entrance is £ 5 for adults and £ 4 for children and OAP’s. As with previous years, parking is free.
To be in with a chance of winning one of the 5 pairs of tickets we’ve got to give away you must be a member of FISHINGmagic (why be a member?) and just answer this simple question:
Which tv angling personality will be giving demonstrations at Tacklefest this year?
Email your answer to editor@fishingmagic.com and your name will go into the draw.
Make the subject line of your email ‘Free Ticket to Tacklefest 2003’ and include, in the body of the email: your answer, your name, your FISHINGmagic membership number, and the address to where the ticket should be sent if you’re one of the lucky winners.
But hurry because the competition will close on Tuesday, 24th June.
