A new world record carp has been caught by Solar Tackle owner Martin Locke of Kent.
Weighing 94lbs and caught from France’s Rainbow Lake near Bordeaux, the fish was caught during the night in temperatures approaching zero. Martin had positioned the bait over 200 yards from the bank and in order to land the fish had to row himself out to it dressed in little more than a T-shirt.
He then left the fish in the margin until the very early hours of daylight when the picture was taken.
More on this later when Martin sends us the blow by blow account.
