A few times last year I was passed by on the river Lot by a custom built angling boat, Carp Pirates Adventures. I only recently found out the owner of this business lives about a five minute drive from me. Sally and I met up with him in Limogne and he came across as a genuine and enthusiastic angler, busy renovating a property but he is still finding time to catch carp himself.

I think I have done a little to promote the river Lot fishing on a few forums, it really is fantastic! From what I have seen of David and his boat I would recommend the outfit as a luxury fishing option for anyone contemplating a visit. I’ve recently fished the river lot, and find myself hooked on the place can’t wait to get back down there, I’m thinking of a trip in April , driving down in my camper van, you wouldn’t happen to know my spots that are campervan friendly would you?

Hi Richard, there are a few campsites that come to mind. Sometimes April can be early for them to open fully, though usually you can park very close to the river.

I have had good fish at Vers, Cenevieres and Cajarc campsites. Let me know a bit closer to the time you are visiting and I will let you know what the situation is then.
