theres four of us going to ireland in july
were flying to knock airport and looking for some where to stay (maybe!)
where are the best spots around this area
god i dont even know what county its in!!!!

help.

Knock is in County Mayo on the west coast. There is great salmon and trout fishing in mayo including lough Conn. I presume you are going coarse fishing as we're in the coarse forum. There is some great pike fishing in the area and some lakes with bream and tench. Counties Galway and roscommon are better for coarse fishing in general with the river suck being the best general coarse river with big shoals of bream and roach and hybrids and some great pike. Sorry I can't be of more help but I don't fish that far west that often.
