Well a chap had near 20 barbel on corn in a day last week so worth mentioning. He probably didn't count the chub. Lots of salmon showing.

To be honest apart from lots chubs a few decent perch and big pike the silver fish levels seem very low . However in Hereford town in winter it roach paradise.

I'm hoping someone can change my mind....

You don't wanna believe half/most of what you read on here. My very modestly sized seatbox isn't coming and I've no chance of getting Mrs S to bake me a cake......not when I'm bunking off fishing & leaving her with the kids.

On the latest it appears that the temperature drops to a chilly 24C for Saturday - unless they've got it wrong there doesn't seem to be much of the wet stuff forecast although I thought it only took someone to sneeze in Wales for the level to rise a couple of metres................

Let's hope so Ian, us old folks are prone to hypothermia if the therms drop much below 29C.

BTW the temptation of bacon butties is stronger than a lie in - if I need a tow in are you still on the same number...........
