I don't like reading directions & instructions. So for those like me please take a few minutes to watch this quick video. You'll need to format your micro sd card before using your Hero 8. Listed below are the cards your unit is compatible with.

When it comes to choosing an SD card, I’ve stuck with SanDisk Extreme and Samsung Evo Select—they’ve been super reliable for both video quality and storage. Just make sure you go for a UHS-1 U3 or V30-rated card; anything less might not keep up with high-resolution footage.
